It is an initiative of Rev.Fr. Peter Osuntope for the Archdiocese of Lagos established to train and form competent pastoral musicians, choir directors, organists, and liturgical leaders through academic, pastoral, and professional education in sacred music.

The program seeks to bridge the gap between theology, music, and worship. Helping students integrate faith, art, and leadership in service to the Church.

It is a three-year, part-time program. There is also a two-year full-time program designed to accommodate working individuals and church ministers.

Lectures are conducted on weekends every Saturday, making it easier for participants with weekday commitments.

Applicants must have:

• Minimum of five credits in WASSCE, including English and Mathematics.

• A recommendation from a Catholic priest or religious superior.

• Completion of the Preparatory Program (equivalent to ABRSM Grade 3).

• A successful entrance examination in theory, voice, and piano.

• A personal statement of intent and birth certificate.

It’s a 12-week prerequisite course providing foundational studies in music theory, voice, and piano. It is mandatory before admission into the Diploma Program.

Participants must maintain at least 80% attendance to qualify for the entrance examination.

Yes. Through the generosity of Emmanuel College, Victoria University in the University of Toronto, Canada, the best graduating student every four years may be considered for a fully funded Master’s Degree scholarship in Sacred Music.
